As a Driver, you will be responsible for following assigned routes, maintaining punctuality, and adhering to all safety protocols to create a positive experience for the those we serve. You’ll have the flexibility of predictable, daily routes and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through your work. Qualified candidates should have a clean driving record, a reliable four-door vehicle, and personal auto insurance. Additionally, you’ll undergo a background check, drug screening, and health screenings to ensure the safety of all passengers. Working alongside drivers daily, Monitors observe behavior, and provide a reassuring presence throughout the ride. This role is especially suited for individuals with patience and compassion, as it involves working closely with students who may have unique needs. Candidates should have a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to calmly address any challenges that may arise. All Monitors must pass background checks and 10 panel drug screenings to uphold our commitment to safety and quality service. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact, this role offers a rewarding way to contribute to the well-being and daily success of the students in our community.

FAMCO Driver Requirements
- Must have access to a smart phone
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a 4-door vehicle.
- Vehicle can be no more than 15 years old.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must pass a 12-panel drug test.
- Must have valid insurance.
- Must have valid registration.
- Must pass a vehicle inspection.
- Must have no more than 3 points on their driving record.
*Monitors are held to the same requirements except those dealing with vehicle info and driving history
FAMCO Driver & Monitor Responsibilities
- Each Driver will receive 2 rides per day*. One morning ride (picking students up from school) and one afternoon ride (dropping students off at home).
- Drivers will transport up to 3 students at a time.
- Each Driver will pick up the same student(s) in the morning and drop the same student(s) off in the afternoon.
- Each Monitor will accompany the same student(s) in the morning and the same student(s) off in the afternoon.
- Morning pick-up times range between 6 AM and 9:30 AM. Afternoon pick-up times range from 1PM- 4PM.
- The Driver is responsible for transporting his/her passengers safely and in a timely manner by following our policies and procedures.
- Please note: Drivers and Monitors are considered independent contractors, which means that you’ll have to set aside money for income taxes, Social Security, and Medicare.
