Yes. We conduct random drug and alcohol testing for drivers to ensure ongoing safety and compliance. Drivers may be selected for testing at any time and are required to participate in an alcohol consortium.
For 1099 Drivers applying to drive on the ADROIT app we do a 5-Panel drug test, the 5-panel drug test checks for five common drug categories: marijuana (THC), cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, and PCP.
For W2 applicants are required to complete a 10-panel drug test, which screens for marijuana (THC), cocaine, opiates (including heroin, morphine, and codeine), amphetamines, methamphetamines, phencyclidine (PCP), benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, and propoxyphene.
If you fail the drug test you will be disqualified, and not be able to retest.

2. Download the Adroit Driver App
Download the app, sign up, and complete the initial application.
3. Upload required documents
Complete your profile and submit all required documentation.
4. Background check and testing
We guide you through the background check, drug test, and TB test.
5. Training and vehicle preparation
Complete the required online or phone training, pick up your equipment, and have your vehicle inspected.
6. Start driving and get paid weekly
Once approved, you can begin driving and earn weekly pay.

Download the Via Driver app, Gusto app, and Timeero app.
6. Receive your schedule and start driving
Begin your assigned shifts and receive steady bi-weekly pay.
1099 drivers are paid weekly on Fridays for the previous week worked.
W-2 drivers are paid bi-weekly on Fridays for the previous two weeks worked.
Yes, training is paid for W-2 drivers and is conducted in a classroom setting. More detailed information about the training process can be provided by our onboarding team once you’re hired.
For 1099 drivers, training is not paid. You are required to watch a short 10-minute training video and attend monthly training sessions.
